I have been thinking about making this move for at least 4 months now. Every time, something would come along and change my mind. For some reason I woke up today and figure I would catch up on all the things I had swept aside for the past few months.
Guess what the first thing on the list was?
CREATE THE LONG AWAITED STORE FOR MY PICTURES AND ARTWORK ONLINE!
I decided to go with Society6 because I found it extremely interesting. So far, I have uploaded three pictures for sale. Products range from art prints to laptop and phone skins. You can browse through the different categories in the menu on the left. You can check out my full store here!
You can help by buying, of course, but also by liking my artwork! It helps promote it across the website, and who would say no to a little bit of promotion.
Long time no see, huh? I think it’s safe to say that senior year has been taking its toll on me. But rest assured, I have a few articles in the works for when I am on winter break. Namely, a post on my most recent trip to London for yet another Amnesty International workshop. So keep an eye out for that.
Now without any further ado, check out this music video of my friends’ newest collaboration. One thing that always impresses me at AUI is the sheer talent that our community has. I believe this is a great example of that. The song was written and produced by my three friends A.z.Dandi, Soufian El Maliki, and Yassine Adnane.
You can download the song through soundcloud over here!
This is the very first video of mine that was filmed completely in one take and without a tripod. It was also the first I filmed with my newest lens that I am still getting used to. Of course the perfectionist in me keeps scrutinizing the details in it, but I think overall, I am proud to say I was part of this project!
During the Spring term, I took an advanced production class. Naturally, my assignment consisted of producing three visual texts: a music video, a fiction short-film, and a non-fiction short film.
After about two months of work, including at least six weeks in the editing lab and numerous sleepless nights, I am proud to present my fiction short film!
I have been avoiding the moment I would have to upload it online because the perfectionist in me kept finding excuses like “I need to fix this one scene” or “the lighting in this frame is not quite right”. I guess that now that I am home with no access to editing software, I really have nowhere to run, so here it goes!
It is entitled Echo and is retelling the happenings of one day in the life of a person with Generalized Anxiety Disorder. You can watch it down below! Considering May is Mental Health Awareness Month, I guess the timing was pretty perfect. If I do say so myself.
I would like to give a shout out to everyone who has helped me and put up with me in one way or another during the production period! Also, I would urge you guys to listen to the work of Salim Daima whose music was used during the film!
PS: It is best if you use headphones when watching the movie!
